| INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE |
AIF aims at achieving a good rate of current
income consistent with reasonable concern for safety of principal
and providing the investors with liquidity and the facility to join
or leave the fund at their convenience. |
| |
| INVESTMENT STRATEGY |
The Fund will invest mainly in high quality
fixed income securities. In selecting debt instruments and government
securities, the Fund will consider individual credit risks, with
the understanding that market value of even high quality fixed rate
securities can fluctuate with change in interest rate levels. The
Fund may also invest in Continuous Funding System (CFS) and Spread
(Ready Futures) Transactions. The asset allocation will depend on
prevailing market conditions and exposure limits. |
| |
| INVESTMENT APPROVAL PROCESS |
-
The Fund Manager regularly monitors interest
rates prevailing in the CFS market, the Money Market, and on
Spread Transaction (Ready Futures), and invests funds within
approved allocation limits, with the objective of maximizing
returns.
-
Investment in Corporate paper (Term Finance
Certificates) is generally restricted to primary market investments
due to superior return as compared to investment made in the
secondary market. Any proposal received is evaluated by the
strong in-house research department on a stand-alone basis,
and if suitable, recommended to the Investment Committee. The
Investment Committee further evaluates the proposal with respect
to the overall asset allocation strategy of the fund prior to
making an investment decision.
